A cleaner AIMeter — dashboard & popover redesign
AIMeter 2.45.0 rebuilds every dashboard page and all 10 provider tabs around one consistent design: a big usage dial, activity bars, pace chips, and live countdowns. Window resizing is smoother too.
“right now, we can only see the latest reset ... can we have that as well”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped in 2.45.0. Codex now lists every manual reset credit with its own expiry countdown in both the popover and the dashboard — hover any credit to see exactly when it runs out.
Shipped in 2.45.0 →“reset soon at soon”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Fixed in 2.45.0. When a reset time isn't known yet, the app now reads "no reset scheduled yet" instead of the placeholder "reset soon at soon."
Shipped in 2.45.0 →“can we add ollama support?”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Not supported today and not scheduled yet — it's on the list of provider integrations we're weighing, with no commitment either way right now.
DeepSeek: track by signing in — no API key needed
Track your DeepSeek balance and usage just by signing in with your browser — no API key required. A new per-model usage view on the dashboard shows request and token charts, with a hover breakdown of cache-hit / cache-miss / output per day.
“1 of the main problem people face when they vibe code and the AI is running, then need to standby on their laptop. If they lock their laptop, the screen will turn off and the AI will stop. It will be nice to have a feature that can be toggled on/off so when we lock our screen the AI can run in the background.”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped in 2.37.0 — a Keep Mac Awake toggle (in Settings, plus a quick menu-bar shortcut) stops your Mac from going to sleep so background AI sessions keep running while you step away. macOS will not let any app keep the display unlocked, so the screen can still lock — but the work no longer stops.
Shipped in 2.37.0 →“There is a new feature from Codex where we can manually trigger resets. It would be nice to see the next expiry date of the reset, so we can plan our resets accordingly.”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped in 2.37.0 — when you have manual limit-reset credits, AIMeter now shows how many you have and when the next one expires, in both the Codex menu-bar view and the dashboard.
Shipped in 2.37.0 →“Since Codex added a feature where we can reset on our own terms, can you add the ability to show when our resets will expire?”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped in 2.37.0 — AIMeter now surfaces your Codex manual reset credits and their next expiry date in the menu-bar view and the dashboard.
Shipped in 2.37.0 →“Would it be possible to add opencode go tracker?”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped in 2.34.0 — AIMeter now tracks your OpenCode Go subscription quota (the 5-hour rolling, weekly, and monthly windows) via the browser extension on opencode.ai.
Shipped in 2.34.0 →“Add OpenCode support please so i can use opencode go sub.”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped in 2.34.0 — your OpenCode Go subscription usage now shows in AIMeter (5-hour, weekly, and monthly windows), connected through the browser extension on opencode.ai.
Shipped in 2.34.0 →OpenCode Go tracking
AIMeter now tracks your OpenCode Go subscription usage — the 5-hour rolling, weekly, and monthly windows, each showing how much you have used and when it resets. Connect it through the AIMeter browser extension on opencode.ai.
Claude service status, at a glance
AIMeter now shows Claude's live service health broken down by component, focused on Claude Code — a status dot, current state, 60-day uptime, and the latest incident during an outage. The Claude dashboard page adds a full status panel for every component.
“Would it be possible to add support for Google's Antigravity provider? I have a Gemini Pro subscription and it would be nice to showcase that here as well.”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped in 2.33.0. AIMeter now tracks Google Antigravity (Gemini) quota — sign in with your Google account and your usage shows up grouped just like the Antigravity 2.0 app (weekly + 5-hour limits, expandable to individual models). It does expose a trackable quota surface, so it qualified.
Shipped in 2.33.0 →“Add Antigravity support please for me to use my Gemini Pro sub.”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped in 2.33.0 — Google Antigravity (Gemini) quota monitoring with Google sign-in, multiple accounts, and the grouped weekly + 5-hour view (Gemini Models / Claude & GPT models, expandable to each model) matching the Antigravity app.
Shipped in 2.33.0 →“After I fill in my Google credentials, the login just loads with a blank screen and the window does not close — I cannot get my Xiaomi MiMo subscription logged in.”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Fixed in 2.32.0. Google blocks Sign in with Google inside embedded login windows, so it hung on a blank screen. AIMeter now catches that, bounces you back, and points you to Phone/SMS sign-in or the Chrome extension — both work for MiMo.
Shipped in 2.32.0 →“Cmd+V does not paste the clipboard image into the Feedback / Bug Report section in Send Feedback.”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Fixed in 2.31.0. Clipboard images arrive in different formats depending on where you copied them (screenshots are TIFF, Preview/Safari are PNG) and paste only handled the generic type, so it failed for some sources. It now loads whichever format the clipboard actually provides.
Shipped in 2.31.0 →Google Antigravity (Gemini) quota monitoring
AIMeter now tracks your Google Antigravity usage. Gemini and Claude & GPT model quotas are grouped just like the Antigravity 2.0 app — each with a weekly and a 5-hour limit, expandable to the individual models — and you can connect and switch between multiple Google accounts.
“Would it be possible to use the trackpad to swipe and navigate around the providers — two fingers to swipe left and right — instead of clicking the providers one at a time?”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Not planned for now. The menubar panel is a small popover, and reliable two-finger gesture navigation there is tricky to get right for what's a niche shortcut — clicking a provider already switches between them. Fun idea though, and thanks for sending it.
“Is it possible to make the control plane description multi-line? Right now it clips the text.”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped in 2.34.0 — the Codex control-plane session line now wraps to a second line instead of getting cut off.
Shipped in 2.34.0 →“I'm just wondering if it's possible to be able to log in and then it will use my default browser… right now it opens up a pop-up and I have to log in with my Google, and I have to type in my password as well as the 2FA. I can't even use my pass key.”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Not possible for cookie-based providers, honestly. AIMeter needs to capture the provider's session cookie to poll your usage, and macOS browsers never expose their cookies to other apps — only an embedded login window can hand that cookie over. Where real OAuth exists (ChatGPT/Codex), AIMeter already opens your default browser. The missing passkey support inside the popup is a limitation of Apple's embedded web view, not a switch the app can flip.
“allow attaching screenshots in feedback — for explaining feature requests or improvements etc”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped — you can attach up to 3 screenshots to a feedback or bug report: pick a file, paste, or drag-and-drop straight into the form.
Shipped in 2.30.0 →“I only see the word "DEEP" and I don't see that I can resize this Menu Bar panel”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Shipped — the provider row now auto-scrolls so your active provider is always visible, even when the list is longer than the popover.
Shipped in 2.30.0 →“I have one Xiaomi Mi-mo account submission connected, and I'm thinking if it's possible to add another one or more”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Not planned for now. MiMo signs in with a single browser-session login per account, and supporting several at once would need a much larger account and auth rework. We may revisit if there's broader demand.
“Claude’s Weekly Limit bar in the Limit Bank section looks better as it is longer and is able to visualise the quota usage much better than Codex’s”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
Fixed — the Codex 7-Day Usage bar in the Limit Bank now spans the full card width, matching Claude's, so quota is easier to read at a glance.
Shipped in 2.29.1 →“Would like to have same features to be in Claude Code Desktop”
— via the app
↳ AIMeter
AIMeter is a standalone macOS menu-bar app — it can't add its tracking UI inside Claude Code Desktop. That app is Anthropic's, and there's no extension surface AIMeter could plug into. Happy to revisit if the ask is something AIMeter itself can show.
Send feedback without leaving AIMeter
Feedback and bug reports now live right in the dashboard sidebar — no GitHub account needed. Everything answered on this page arrived through that form.
Auto-borrow on Claude rate limits
When a Claude account hits its rate limit mid-request, AIMeter can retry once on your default account's quota so you keep working. Opt-in per account.
DeepSeek and Xiaomi MiMo support
AIMeter now tracks DeepSeek usage and account balance with a live streaming meter, plus Xiaomi MiMo usage, quota, and night-discount pricing.
The big 2.25 update
Our first public update since 2.6.5: light and dark mode, Active Sessions, a custom global hotkey, and multi-account Claude routing.
